2014 APA Spring Car Show Recap

Well the 2014 APA Spring Car Show is now past.The weather reports were threatening rain all week but the day started out a little foggy and turned out fine with the sun making an appearance long enough to give myself a nice red glow. We had 116 entries with a lot of old friends that we see every year to new folks that enjoyed the show location.The show pictures were up the same day you can see them Here. The Space City Cruisers had 9 club entries which won them the “Club Participation Award”. This award comes with a $100.00 cash prize.Which they donated right back to the our club to go to our Charities.This year our charities are Wounded Warriors Project and the American Diabetes Association.Speaking of our charities and the money we send them from our 50/50 jar proceeds that almost reached a record amount the total came up to $1165.00. Half of that went to the winner and the club half will be distributed between our charities.We even had a show entry donate $100.00 for the Wounded Warrior Project. CAR PEOPLE ARE GREAT AREN”T THEY? Thanks to all the people that came out. It was a great show and we are looking forward to next years show.So keep checking back to this website for info for this and other Club activities.

As of — Thursday March 20 2014 THE SHOW IS ON
**JUST AN FYI** I have spoken with Sal in regards to the weather report. We have also had some emails about the weather and the car show. As of now the weather report is saying that the expected 20-30% chance of showers will be later in the afternoon. With that information “THE SHOW IS ON”. Unless the weather changes and we get torrential rains early on Saturday morning the show is a go. We will see you all there in beautiful Galveston…
